Hunt Stats

See which spots and weather produce birds.

Hunt Stats turns the hunts in your Hunting Log Book into answers: which spots and blinds produce, what the weather and wind were worth, and how often you limit. It builds itself from the hunts you already log, season after season.

Inside Hunt Stats

What your logged hunts add up to.

The Season

Your season at a glance.

Birds, hunts, birds per hunt and your best conditions up top, with a chart of birds per hunt by week or month, split into dabblers, divers and geese.

  • Season totals and birds per hunt
  • Best conditions, from your own hunts
  • Week or month chart by species group
The Call's Hunt Stats for the 2025-26 season: 97 birds over 16 hunts, 6.1 birds per hunt, overcast as the best conditions, and a monthly chart of birds per hunt for dabblers, divers and geese

Species

What you’re really shooting.

Birds by species, averaged per hunt, and a chart of every hunt in the season. Tap a hunt to see its weather and temperature.

  • Every species, averaged per hunt
  • Tap a hunt for its weather
Hunt Stats birds by species, averaged per hunt with Mallard on top at 3.6, then Canada Goose and Gadwall, above a chart of the birds from each hunt of the season

Weather and Wind

Know which days are worth it.

Birds per hunt in clear, overcast, fog, rain and snow, and in calm, light and strong wind. The weather is saved with each hunt, so there’s nothing to fill in.

  • Five sky conditions and three wind bands
  • Weather saved with every hunt
  • Thin data flagged, so one lucky day isn’t a pattern
Hunt Stats birds by weather: average birds per hunt in clear, overcast, fog, snow and rain, each with its hunt count and share of hunts limited, then birds by wind

Spots and Setups

Find out which spot produces.

Birds per hunt by location, blind and decoy spread. Missing a blind on older hunts? Add it to past hunts right from the chart.

  • By location, blind and decoy spread
  • Add setups to past hunts in a few taps
Hunt Stats birds by location: average birds per hunt at Cattail Slough, River Bend and North Pond with the share of hunts limited at each, and a button to add blinds to past hunts

Bag Limits

See how often you limit.

Tick Limited for ducks, geese or coots when you log a hunt. Hunt Stats shows your limit rate, the days you limited each month, and your rate by spot and weather.

  • Duck, goose and coot limit rates
  • Days limited by week or month
  • Limit rate by spot and weather
Hunt Stats bag limits: a 40% duck limit rate and a 40% goose limit rate for the season, with a chart of the days limited each month

Every Season

Season over season.

The Overview tab puts every season side by side: hunts, birds per hunt, days limited, and how your species mix has changed.

  • Lifetime totals
  • Birds per hunt and days limited by season
  • Species mix over time
The Hunt Stats Overview across three seasons: hunts per season, days limited by season, and the share of dabblers, divers and geese each season

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Hunt Stats free?

Yes. Hunt Stats is included free in The Call on iOS and Android.

Where does the data come from?

From the hunts in your Hunting Log Book. The weather is saved with each hunt automatically, so the weather and wind stats need nothing extra. Locations, blinds, decoy spreads and limits come from what you add when you log a hunt, and you can add them to past hunts from Hunt Stats.

Does Hunt Stats work without cell service?

Yes. Your stats are worked out on your phone, so they work with no signal, including hunts you just logged offline.

How does Hunt Stats count limits?

You tick Limited for ducks, geese or coots on each hunt. The app never sets it for you, because limits vary by state, zone and season. Your limit rate is the days you limited out of the days you hunted that group.

Do my hunting partners’ birds count in my stats?

No. On a shared hunt, each hunter’s stats count only their own birds and their own limits.

What counts as a season?

Seasons run from August 1 to July 31, so a season that crosses New Year’s stays together.

What if I’ve only logged a few hunts?

Stats start with your first hunt. Rows with fewer than 3 hunts are faded and marked with a caution sign, so you know they’re a hint, not a pattern yet.
